"Coming!" I shouted when there was a knock at the door. For 'just studying' I sure felt nervous! I took a deep breath, and answered the door. And was instantly glad I had changed into some nicer clothes. Mikael had on a very nice button down blue shirt and jeans. He had a gold chain around his neck, and I noticed he must have gotten his hair cut after class. He was blonde, and very pale skinned. His cheeks were always pink though, like he was blushing.
"Come in." I said, and he walked in. I shut the door behind him, and mouthed 'WOW' behind his back.
"Nice place." He said, looking around.
"Um, thanks. Most of the stuff is my roomate Elizabeth's." I said. "Have a seat." I told him, motioning to the couch. He sat down, and layed his back pack on the floor beside the couch.
"Something to drink?" I asked.
"What do you have?" He asked.
"Soda and water. No beer, sorry." I told him.
"Why not?" He asked.
"I'm not twenty-one...Neither is Elizabeth." I told him.
"How old are you?" He asked.
"Nineteen." I replied.
"Okay. I'm twenty two." He said. "I got a late start going to school I guess."
"Oh. So soda?" I asked him.
"Please." He said. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of chips and two sodas. Mikael already had some books and papers out on the coffee table. I handed him his soda, and set the chips down on the table.
"Thanks." He said.
"You're welcome." I told him, and picked up my notebook off the floor.
"Are you german?" He asked me.
"Yeah." I said. "Well...I'm dutch and polish too." I told him, kind of consfused.
"Sorry. Your last name." He said.
"Oh. What is yours?" I asked.
"Weurkensen." He said.
"Eh?"
"Skandanavian."
"Oh. Is it okay if I can't say it?" I asked, and he laughed.
"Of course. I don't hold anything against pretty ladies." He said. "Well, except or myself."
I laughed when he added that last part!
"Wow, okay. Um...studying." I said, and he laughed. We actualy managed to study for about two hours. He had some different literay books with him that helped give me an idea of how I was suposed to write this essay.
"So, feeling better about it?" He asked.
"Much. Thank you so much!" I told him.
"Absolutly." He said. I kept staring at him, and trying not to laugh when he would look up at me.
"Well, I have to get going. I have an early day tomorrow." He said.
"Okay." I sighed.
"I can stay." He said.
"Um...uh-" I stumbled. I had no idea what to say to him!
"I'll go. Maybe I can stay another night." He said, looking into my eyes. I was breathless.
"Okay." I said, and he laughed. He smiled, and gathered his things. I walked him to the door, and he surprised me when he hugged me goodbye.
"See you in class Wednesday." He said.
"Okay." I said, and watched him walk away. I shut the door, and squeeled!
"HOLY SHIT!" I shouted. Just then the door opened, and hit me in the butt.
"Move." Elizabeth said, laughing.
"Sorry!" I told her.
"There was a total hotty walking down the hall just now." She said.
"I know. That was Mikael." I said.
"What? WOW!" She said.
"I know! AND he said that he wanted to stay." I told her.
"AND YOU LET HIM LEAVE!?" She shouted. I laughed.
"Yeah." I said.
"You are stronger then me!" She said.
"I wanted him to stay, but I froze up when he told me that. So he left, but maybe next time.." I said, she hugged me.
"What was that?" I asked.
"I'm so proud of you." She said.
"Okay then..." I said.
We hung out and talked for about an hour before we both decided to go to bed. We had kind of a busy day the next day.
